根据星报消息，美国总统特朗普表示，即将对其他国家进口的钢铁和铝业征收关税，此举可能会对加拿大工业造成重大损害，此举被认为美国展开了新一轮的国际报复。

特朗普今日在白宫宣布，钢铁关税将为25％，铝关税为10％。新的政策将会在下周开始实施，而且预计会持续很长一段时间。特朗普表示，别的国家过去一直对美国很糟糕。

由于这一通知在仓促中被公布，目前关键细节仍不清楚。对于加拿大来说最迫切的一个问题是，加拿大是否会获得豁免。
