The Winnipeg Police Service does not release copies of police reports. For incidents, where criminal charges are not pending before the courts, you may apply for a “Police Report Confirmation Letter”. The letter will provide the date the incident occurred, the date it was reported, the incident number and the officers badge number.
Persons requesting an Incident Confirmation Letter must complete the Police Report Confirmation Request Form P-614 and mail, along with copies of the required identification and fee, to the address on the form. For payment amount, please see Fee Schedule (Fees change annually).
Two pieces of Identification are required. Please see FAQ #5, What type of Identification must I provide?.
The public may attend in person or mail in the above application with payment and copies of identification.
