卑诗城镇联盟(Union of British Columbia Municipalities，简称UBCM)9月10日星期一表示，支持省政府较早时推出的打击地产炒卖及逃税草拟法案，并且提出多项建议，包括公开楼花交易数据，以及扩大数据收集范围。

省政府2018年6月提出名为《业主透盟度法》（Land Owner Transparency Act，简称LOTA），旨在打击房地产市场炒卖逃税等违规活动，例如：透过空壳公司或信托来持有物业。草拟法案内容包括：成立一个全新的卑诗物业登记数据库，从而提高卑诗房地产活动的透明度。
