市环卫部门希望此间不要将院子里的垃圾清扫到大街上，因为落叶如果在底下排水道堆积可能造成堵塞，引起地下室积水。
市环卫部门设立了搜集落叶的回收箱，上面有“Leaf It With Us”的标签，市民可以将落叶放到这些搜集点。在环卫部门清理街道的同时，部分街道会因为要停放碎树叶回收设备而不能停车。
